TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Wednesday was the first official day to sign National Letters of Intent across the country, and at FAMU DRS, Dominique Jeffery took advantage, making things official with Appalachian State.

The senior transferred to DRS last season, and scored nearly 300 points in her Junior campaign for the State Champion Baby Rattlers, and of getting to play in college? She said it's a dream come true.

"It's so many emotions and adrenaline going on right now, it's great!" she smiled. "It feels good to know there's people here to watch me sign, there's actually people that's down."

Jeffery turned down interest from Bethune Cookman and Coastal Carolina among others, saying becoming a Mountaineer was just the right thing to do.

"Even before I went on the visit, I was like, this is where I want to go," she said Wednesday. "The coaches make me feel like home, I was comfortable talking with the coaches and it just felt like a family before I even met them. So when I came on the visit, it was just better. I was like, yeah this is where I want to go!"

Jeffery said she's interested in pursuing a degree in Business Finance.
