THOMASVILLE, Ga. (March 1, 2013) - FCSAA No. 4 Tallahassee Community College improved to 17-3 by sweeping a doubleheader from the Thomas University JV squad on Friday afternoon.
The Eagles picked up a 9-0 win in the opener then won game two, 8-1.
In game one, the story was Tallahassee pitcher Patrick Riley. The right-hander from Duluth, Ga., needed only 69 pitches to record the three-hit, seven-inning shutout. He struck out six.
After a day off on Saturday, the Eagles will open a five-game series against Grand Rapids (Mich.) Community College at 2 p.m. Sunday
