GAINESVILLE, Fla. (December 10, 2017) – In a battle of nationally-ranked teams, NJCAA No. 10/Region 8 No. 4 Florida SouthWestern State College got the best of No. 4/No. 2 Tallahassee Community College on Sunday, defeating the Eagles 86-69 at the Florida College's Men's Basketball Shootout.

Tallahassee has dropped two of its last three games to fall to 11-2 on the season.

After ties at 37- and 40-all, Corey Douglas' bucket gave Tallahassee a 42-40 lead at the 16:17 mark of the second half. That turned out to be the Eagles' final lead of the game.

Florida SouthWestern scored the next ten points and went a 21-3 run to take control of the game.

The Eagles eventually trailed by as many as 25 (86-61) before closing the game on an 8-0 run.

Tallahassee will return to play on Wednesday when it travels to St. Petersburg College for a 2 p.m. game against the Titans.
