OMAHA, NEBRASKA (AP) – Chatrice White returned to her home state and had 19 points and 11 rebounds to help No. 13 Florida State beat Creighton 92-82 on Thursday night.

The Seminoles (11-1) bounced back from an 87-72 loss to No. 8 Texas on Sunday. Creighton (6-4) had its three-game win streak snapped despite hitting 17 of 35 (49 percent) from 3-point range.

White, a Shelby-Rising City prep star and the first Nebraska high school female to be named a McDonald’s All-American in 2014, scored two points and had three rebounds as the Seminoles outscored Creighton 18-9 in the third quarter, and opened the fourth on a 5-0 spurt for a 71-60 lead.

Temi Carda made a layup and Audrey Faber a 3-pointer to pull the Bluejays to 71-65 but they didn’t get closer.

AJ Alix scored nine of her 17 points in the second half for Florida State. Imani Wright added 16 points and made three 3-pointers as the Seminoles had six players finish in double-figure scoring.

Faber scored 30 points and made seven 3-pointers to lead Creighton.

POST-GAME NOTES

• Chatrice White’s double-double was the 34th of her collegiate career, 10th as a Seminole and second in three games when playing collegiate basketball in the state of Nebraska.

• White enjoyed an enormous outpour of support at Thursday’s game – she was welcomed by roughly 200 fans in Omaha.

• Redshirt senior point guard AJ Alix did not record a turnover for the second time this season, and continued her season-long streak of positive assist/turnover games. She had 17 points, six rebounds, six assists and no turnovers.

• Senior center Ama Degbeon tied her career high with 12 points as well as tying her career best with six made field goals.

• Redshirt senior guard Imani Wright totaled three 3-point field goals to go with her 16 points. Wright has made three or more from long distance in seven of her 12 games.

• The Seminoles had six players in double figures for the 15th time in program history, and the second time this season.

• FSU shot 50 percent (35-of-70) from the floor, the fifth time this year it has shot 50 percent or better.

• After Creighton made 13 3-point field goals in the first half, FSU held them to 0-of-4 in the third in what was a momentum-swinging quarter.

• Creighton’s 17 3-point field goals are the most ever recorded against Florida State.

• While the Bluejays were proficient from beyond the arc, FSU out-scored them 54-16 in the paint. Creighton was also held to 11-of-31 from two-point range.

• The Seminoles are 9-1 in their last 10 non-conference road games dating back to the 2016-17 year.

• FSU improves to 32-9 in its last 41 road games.
