Tallahassee, FL (WTXL)-- After a slow first half with just three first downs, the Florida State football team responded in the 2nd half for second straight week to beat South Florida 34-14.

Running back Dalvin Cook finished the game with 266 yards rushing. That is the second most rushing yards in a single game in Florida State history.

"Vision, patience. He's really fast, extremely fast, but a lot of fast guys run into the pile. He can still run with great tempo, and he has great eyes. I don't care what back you say they have great eyes. They see things before that happen and they get that feeling, how they cut, and then he's a finisher," FSU Head Coach Jimbo Fisher said.

Everett Golson, completed just one pass in the first half, but he responded to finish the game 14-26 passing for 163 yards and one touchdown. Florida State has a short week to now prepare for Boston College on Friday.
