MOULTRIE, Ga. (WTXL) - Over the past two seasons, the Colquitt County football team is 30-0 and back to back AAAAAA State Champions. This year, they're looking for the three-peat, but they may be doing it without their head coach.
During the AAAAAA State Semifinal game in December, head coach Rush Propst was seen head butting a player. Propst was not reprimanded by Colquitt County nor the Georgia High School Association, but on Thursday following an investigation, the Georgia Professional Standards Commission announced that Propst has been suspended for a year following the incident.
Propst has appealed the suspension. There is no word on how long the appeals process will take. Neither the head coach nor Colquitt County High School has commented on the matter.
