TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- After months of speculation, FAMU has finally named a new football coach. The school has been searching for a coach since then Athletic Director Kellen Winslow, fired Coach Earl Holmes homecoming week.
The school narrowed down dozens of applications and announced that Alex Wood will be officially taking over.
FAMU Interim AD Nelson Townsend plans to introduce Coach Wood at a 3 pm news conference on Tuesday.
Wood is currently the Interim Head Coach at the State University of New York, Buffalo.
