MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Florida State Seminoles players and their fans and supporters may want to bring rain gear along with their game-day spirit to the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game Saturday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N. C.

A low-pressure system located in the Desert Southwest Wednesday is forecast to traverse the United States by the end of the week.  During its trek toward the mid-Atlantic states, it will encounter an increase in moisture provided by the Gulf of Mexico.

Cloudiness is expected to steadily increase Friday through Saturday, with the timing of the arrival of showers focusing on Saturday morning.  A couple of thunderstorms can't be ruled out, but overall strength of any storms will be rather low.  Showers may diminish by the evening kick-off, but clouds and light showers could linger.

Temperatures are forecast to be in the 50s and 60s for most of Saturday in Charlotte, cooling down through the 50s during the game.

Since the match-up is still three days away, the timing and intensity of any rain areas will likely be adjusted.  Nonetheless, carrying stadium-appropriate ponchos is advised along with your garnet and gold attire.
