VALDOSTA — You haven’t seen them in action all fall and for many, not having Valdosta State football leaves a huge void in their college football experience this time of the year. But earlier today the Blazers wrapped up their limited fall practices with an inter-squad scrimmage at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium

Now it may not have been a real game in the record books but by the looks of it you’d never be able to tell. Fans filled the stands, and the Blazer Brigade provided the gameday music. And for one Saturday afternoon things felt normal. Which has this talented team excited and ready to make another run for a national title in 2021.

“I’m going to go back and watch some games probably tonight and then get right back into ‘Gosh I wish we could be playing right now.’ But it’s been an emotional roller coaster for everybody right," said Valdosta State head coach Gary Goff. "But we have to focus on what we can control which is getting better one day at a time.”

“Yea I mean it was a lot of fun, it was great weather we had. Little hot but coming out here having our fans show up, our band was here it was really exciting," says Blazers quarterback Rogan Wells.
