TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Thursday was all about the future for now former players of the Florida State football team. Pro Day took over, and over a dozen athletes looked to impress scouts in attendance to hopefully inch closer to that NFL dream.

Brian Burns is the big name this year for the Noles. The defensive end is projected as a high first round pick. Demarcus Christmas is another one to watch, as he could go in early rounds as well. Also in attendance at this year's Pro Day? Noonie Murray, offensive lineman Alec Eberle, and running back Jacques Patrick.

Pro Day is no doubt a big day for these athletes, but being in familiar territory eases those nerves.

"Honestly, I felt more comfortable here," said Christmas of performing Thursday at Florida State than at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. "Combine they get you under pressure. They have you do physical work under pressure. I was actually comfortable here. Happy with the outcome I had today."

"I have my former teammates here. My family is here," agreed Burns. "It's just a comfortable feel."

The 2019 NFL Draft starts April 25th.
