TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - One day after the 67th FAMU Relays wrapped up, the Rattlers Director of Track and Field has resigned. Darlene Moore, who came to FAMU in 2009 and was a three team MEAC Coach of the Year, turned in her resignation on Thursday. Sunday was her last day. No reason was given for the resignation.
She came to the University in 2009, and assumed the role of Director of Track and Field in 2016. The Florida A&M women won the last seven MEAC cross country titles, while the FAMU men captured back to back titles in 2012 and 2013. Moore also led the Rattlers to outdoor MEAC titles in 2015, 2016, and 2018.
