TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Florida State's schedule this year is the second toughest in the ACC.
So far they've faced ranked Miami on the road and this weekend the Noles travel to fifth-ranked Notre Dame.
Head coach Mike Norvell said he's seen really good flashes from this team, they just need consistency.
The good news is they seem to have found a starting quarterback in Jordan Travis. His effort Saturday in making plays happen impressed Norvell and that's what this team needs moving forward.
"When you have those positive, explosive plays, it does become contagious," said Norvell. "I think the effort at that position is critical. Lack of effort will deteriorate your football team. That's one thing I've been pleased with at the quarterback position is the effort throughout this year. Those guys have given great effort but the explosive play, the confidence, the production that showed up, it's something that really helped push this football team."
Saturday's match-up is set for a 7:30 p.m. kick at Notre Dame.
