TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — For the second straight week, the Florida State football team is kicking off in prime time against a top-five program. This week it's against the North Carolina Tar Heels, a team that is 3-0 on the year and ranked fifth in the country.

Florida State is coming off a loss at Notre Dame, a loss that Seminole head coach Mike Norvell said while they still made mistakes he saw strides in the right direction.

Their focus now is fixing those miscues before another tough test against the Tar Heels.

"We need to improve individually, we need to improve collectively as units on both sides of the ball and special teams, and then show that improvement overall as a team," said Norvell. "To get to do that against some of the top teams in the country, it definitely adds a sense of urgency in all aspects in what we need to do. If we do not go out there and apply the lessons that have been learned, we're going to find ourselves in a very challenging situation."

Saturday's match-up is set for a 7:30 p.m. kick and you can watch it right here on ABC 27.
