TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State was picked to finish second in the ACC Atlantic Division in the preseason baseball poll released Thursday. The Noles are behind only projected conference-winner Louisville. The Cardinals earned 13 of 14 votes to win the Atlantic Division, while Clemson earned the remaining vote. Louisville is also picked to win the overall league championship.
In the Coastal Division, Miami earned 12 of 14 first-place votes, with North Carolina and Georgia Tech getting one each.
The preseason poll is voted on by the league’s 14 head coaches.
The Seminoles will host Louisville and Miami at Dick Howser Stadium in 2020, as well as both division’s No. 3 team, NC State and Georgia Tech. Notre Dame, led by first-year head coach Link Jarrett, a former Seminole shortstop and assistant coach, also comes to Tallahassee this year.
