TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - WTXL spoke with an official at Florida State Friday who said the spring season is not off the table just yet. There was a meeting with the ACC Friday afternoon and the Conference still has not made a decision as to what to do the rest of the spring, either cancel or postpone to a certain date. Right now, the ACC has just suspended play "until further notice."
Statement from the Atlantic Coast Conference:
— The ACC (@theACC) March 12, 2020
“The Atlantic Coast Conference has suspended all athletic related activities including all competition, formal and organized practice, recruiting and participation in NCAA championships until further notice."
The official told us they are trying to remain optimistic they'll be able to finish out spring seasons at Florida State. They added the ACC was set to meet this weekend, and the University will hopefully know more early next week.
