TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) — Volleyball fans were treated to a scrimmage starring Florida State Seminoles. The team held a scrimmage and fan day Saturday afternoon.
Head Coach Chris Poole along with players explained the scrimmage with fans and real referees is a good way to feel what game day will feel like, before the season starts.
"In practice, it's completely different and you don't feel the same kind of anxiety as you do when you know people are watching," explained Coach Poole. "So, I feel like today was great and that's the reason we went ahead and scheduled another one for next weekend."
Freshman outside hitter, Morgan Chacon added, "The noise, the calls, and doubles, all of that kind of stuff. It's nice to get that experience before you go right into game play. Especially, the competitive atmosphere in general is good to experience before you step into that game that really counts."
The team will have another Garnet and Gold scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 2:30.
