TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida State football team is back in action on Saturday with newfound confidence after last week's win over North Carolina.
Head football coach Mike Norvell said last week's game is definitely a confidence boost for this team. To upset a top-five team is a win they can most certainly build off.
The focus since early this week has been on Louisville, a team that hasn't won a conference game yet and one that Norvell has a lot of respect for.
It's also a team Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis has his eye on. He signed with Louisville out of high school, playing there for a year before transferring to Florida State.
It's a big game, a chance for Travis to prove himself and to show out for his old team, right?
Not quite.
"Oh, it's just another game," said Travis. "I don't get into stuff like that at all. What happened in the past happened. I'm at a new school now and I'm with my boys. We're just worried about this week and it's another game. Same mindset. Just go in and get another win. I do still talk to some of my old teammates. We're pretty close, those are my guys. This week, I'm focused on playing this game and that's about it."
Saturday's match-up with the Cardinals is set for a noon kick in Louisville.
