TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — It's been a rocky season for the Florida State football team, and on Wednesday, head coach Mike Norvell announced the loss of several key players to the program.
The Florida State football team is two and five on the year as they prepare for another tough road test at NC State.
Norvell announced Wednesday that defensive tackle Marvin Wilson and offensive lineman Devontay Love-Taylor suffered injuries and will be out for the season.
Receiver Tamorrion Terry is no longer with the team, and quarterback James Blackman, who lost his starting job this year, will explore other opportunities once he graduates from Florida State.
Norvell is praising Blackman, saying it hasn't been an easy college career for the quarterback.
"It's real easy for people to pinpoint one person or one instance of different things, but I think that James has dealt with coaching changes, he's dealt with a lot of changes when it comes to the personnel and situations around him, and he's always handled himself with class," said Norvell. "He's a young man that is a great character and has a great future in front of him."
Norvell added that Jordan Travis is day-to-day leading up to Saturday's game with the Wolfpack.
