TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — It's Miami week for the Florida State football team and the Seminoles are not only getting ready for their rival but planning for game day without their head coach.

It's a situation they prepared for and, with head coach Mike Norvell not able to coach after testing positive for COVID-19, it's reality.

Offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham and Norvell can communicate freely on game-day when it comes to the offense but they're game-planning and getting ready now to make sure Saturday runs as smoothly as possible.

"We'll go out there on game day and coach and I see eye to eye and we'll lose his eye," said Dillingham. "You're losing one of the best offensive coaches in college football. We can't say we're not. At the same time, we've been together for so long that we're on the same page. This staff's on the same page."

Florida State's match-up with Miami is set for a 7:30 p.m. kick and you can watch it on ABC 27.
