TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Just hours after the softball team won their ACC title on Saturday, the women's track and field team celebrated a Conference championship of their own. The outdoor title is Florida State's fifth, and thanks to rain, they didn't get to properly celebrate on Saturday. Mother Nature cooperated Thursday, as t-shirts, hats, and trophies were passed around to the winners.

"We've won three of the last six ACC Championships and the ladies today, they kind of missed their celebration because of the down pouring rain, didn't even get their names called," said head coach Bob Braman. "We said let's get together and do it the right way."

"We put in a lot of work from all events," added sophomore Ka'tia Seymour. "Everyone did their thing, did what they had to do, go out, get points, put them on the board, and show that we're here to dominate."

Next up for the Noles? The NCAA East Preliminary meet next week at the University of North Florida.
