TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - In 1972, Florida State men's basketball's head coach Leonard Hamilton was 24 years old. He was an assistant coach at Austin Peay. The 1972-1973 season was also the last time the Florida State men's basketball program was ranked in the top five in the country.
On Monday, the Seminoles were back inside the top five, as the new AP poll came out, and the 16-2 Seminoles are the number five team in the land, moving up from ninth. The Noles also 6-1 in A-C-C play, tied at the top of the conference standings.
Proud of players, coaches, support staff, fans and Florida State University.

There’s a lot of basketball left this season. Let’s not celebrate just yet. https://t.co/yikgPiUqap
