TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - There's something different about the first day in pads. Asante Samuel said it best on Tuesday, "it shows if you're a man or not!" The Seminoles, in the full get up Tuesday and getting a lot of work in? This defense. They have a ton of talent, and in order to get a lot of those guys on the field, they've incorporated a lot of different looks into the defense and the guys are excited about the changes.

"We're trying to get the best 11 on the field," said defensive coordinator Harlon Barnett. "Ultimately, we're looking for the top 22. It helps us to use our top personnel in a more effective way."

"It feels comfortable. It's built to access what we're good at and make us better," added Hamsah Nasirildeen, a junior defensive back. "It's definitely a lot of learning, we're doing some of the same things from last year, but we're working on learning the basics more and just the fundamentals of things."

The Seminoles open the regular season in Jacksonville against Boise State on August 31st.
