TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Florida State Seminoles are at home for the second straight week come Saturday, and this weekend is a big one as the Noles host Miami. The rivals are knotted at 4-4 on the year, and both need a win to inch closer to that six win mark to become bowl eligible.
This is a heated rivalry. Florida State has dropped the last two to Miami. It'll be chippy on Saturday, and those are the kind of things this team has to ignore.
"We all know with this game, it's just a little different when Miami and Florida State play," said head coach Willie Taggart Monday. "We've got to have, again, the focus that we need to go out there and execute and play at the level that it's going to require for us to win the ball game. The rivalry is the rivalry; it's always going to be big-time. We don't like each other, and that's just the way it is."
Saturday's match-up is set for a 3:30 kickoff, and it can be viewed on WTXL.
