TALLAHASSEE, Fl. — The Seminoles won out in their first exhibition game of the 2019-2020 season. FSU defeated Barry University, Tuesday night, 95-66.
Head Coach Leonard Hamilton said after the game that they turned the ball over too much. “And we're going to turn the ball over because we are trying to train ourselves to go a real fast pace. We'll settle down. Saw some good things, but obviously have a long ways to go."
The exhibition game with Barry University was also a benefit. While admission and parking to the game were free, fans had the opportunity to make a contribution to the Aubrey Boyd Charitable Foundation.
This is the 19th consecutive year the team has helped raise funds for Aubrey Boyd.
Boyd was a standout for the Seminoles, but back in 1995, he was injured during a pick-up football game and paralyzed from the neck down.
