Flroida State third baseman Drew Mendoza has signed with the Washington Nationals. Mendoza was taken in the third round by the Nationals in this year's Major League Baseball Draft.

According to MLB.com's Jim Callis, Mendoza signed for $800,000, more than $150,000 over the slot value for the pick.

Mendoza hit .308 in his junior campaign for the Seminoles, with 16 home runs and 56 RBI.
