TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — We're learning more about the agreement between Florida State and Coach Mike Norvell.
The contract is a six year deal worth $26.5 million that works out to just over $4.4 million per year.
There are incentives included in the contract and Coach Norvell will get bonuses for winning conference championships, bowls games, for earning personal accolades, and keeping Florida State's Academic Progress rate over certain scores.
Some other key numbers:
Coach will get $5.25 million for 10 assistant coaches. This does not include a director of operations, strength and conditioning coach, and director of recruiting.
If he is terminated, Norvell will get an amount equal to 85 percent of the total annual compensation.
