TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) — Florida State has a long way to go to shock everyone in the ACC. The Seminoles are currently 2-1 in conference play. The next game up for the Seminoles is #2 Clemson.
But first, Florida State football has a bye week which should help them get healthy and rejuvenated for the Tigers on October 12.
Head Coach Willie Taggart said Monday morning before pratice that his team needs to work on a lot of things during this bye week. For Cam Akers, FSU's star running back, the timing of this bye week is good with him.
"I definitely like the timing of the bye week. It kind of lets us get our bodies back, learn some things, get a little bit of extra time in the film room on our next opponent, and just get up ahead," said Akers.
Akers, a junior, has 582 rushing yards so far for the 2019 season, with seven touchdowns.
