TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Odell Haggins is now 3-0 as interim head coach of the Florida State football team, and one of the biggest things he preaches? Family and taking care of each other. Marvin Wilson has long been a huge spark for this team. Not only will he be taken high in this year's NFL Draft, but he's been praised by everyone about his work ethic and team first mentality.
Wilson had season ending hand surgery last week, but you know who was the first to greet this Seminole squad when they got back to Tallahassee Saturday? Marvin Wilson, and that has the praise going once again.
"You want your best player on your team he can't play, he wants to be there, he's sacrificing, 'Coach, I'll wrap it up and I'll play this game make sure we get bowl eligible,'" said an emotional Haggins Monday. "That speaks a lot. He's a big-time leader. Great kid. I love him."
Florida State faces Alabama State Saturday, where a win would make them bowl eligible.
