GAINESVILLE, Fl. — Feleipe Franks is set to leave the University of Florida. The Gator quarterback announced his decision Sunday afternoon on his Instagram page.

The redshirt junior explained that he will explore the NFL draft or transfer to another program. Franks will have one year of collegiate availability.

He suffered a season ending injury back on September 16 in the Gators' win over Kentucky.

Kyle Trask replaced Franks when the starter went down. Trask has gone 7-2 as the starting quarterback for Florida.

Franks will graduate in December and will be eligible to play at another FBS school immediately.
