TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Florida A&M volleyball team is looking forward to debuting this weekend. The Lady Rattlers have an exhibition match with Embry Riddle Saturday, and are heading into the season with high expectations. They're picked to share the league's Southern Division title, while outside hitter Yvette Garcia was tabbed the MEAC's Preseason Player of the Year.

"They're very competitive, so we wanted to play somebody competitive," said head coach Gokhan Yilmaz on hosting Embry Riddle. "That's what it's going to achieve. It'll also give us the opportunity to see what we can do against an athletic team. We have 19 players toal, we're gelling well. We're getting along. It actually looked really competitive this morning. We told them that was the best practice preseason so far, so we're progressing pretty well at this point."

Saturday's exhibition match-up is set for 4:00 at FAMU.
