TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - For the Florida A&M football team, the second half of the season is here as non-conference action is over. MEAC play starts this weekend when they Rattlers hit the road to Norfolk State. This is the part of the season that matters, and head coach Willie Simmons knows it won't be an easy week, but in order to win a conference title you have to win on the road.
Coach said he isn't too worried about the hangover from Saturday's big win over Southern. He said this team is focused and ready for the challenge ahead.
"I asked them a simple question on Sunday, and that question was are we satisfied? If the answer is no, let's go to work," he said. "That's what it boils down to. Are we satisfied with where we are right now? This team isn't satisfied. There's a lot more out there for us to take, and to take it, we have to work hard every single day."
Saturday's game against the Spartans is set for 4:00.
