TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Wednesday night is debut day for the Florida A&M men's basketball team, and although it's just an exhibition game, the Rattlers are ready to hit the floor and ready to measure up against someone else.

This team lost two seniors off last year's squad. Those seniors were the the Rattlers leading scorers, but they have a lot of good talent coming back, including MJ Randolph, who made the MEAC's preseason team. Head coach Robert McCullum notes their biggest issue right now is staying healthy. He only has six scholarship players 100%, but he's excited to see what this team is capable of.

"I like what we can be what we can be," said coach McCullum. "In our league, that all hinges on how you play in MEAC play. Everything we do is in preparation for MEAC play, but I really like the team we can become."

"I feel like we had good depth last year, like we always played 8-10 people," added senior guard Nasir Core. "I feel like we left our top two scorers, but we had a lot of talent on the bench, so they have to step up."

FAMU's exhibition match-up against EdwardWaters is set for a 7:00 tip on Wednesday.
