TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Over in the Big Bend, the Florida A&M men’s basketball team is gearing up for their first home games of the season, which will also mark the beginning of their 2021 conference schedule.

The Rattlers tip-off against South Carolina State Sunday afternoon and then again on Monday. FAMU had an unblemished mark at home last season, a perfect 8-0. And after serving a postseason ban the last two years, the Rattlers have been eagerly awaiting to get their campaign for the MEAC tournament rolling once again.

“I don’t think there’s anything more special than conference play," said FAMU head men's basketball coach Robert McCullum. "I think the opportunity to win a regular-season title is one of the most difficult challenges in all of sports, because of the number of games you have to play, the familiarity with teams.”

“This team fights to the end, we’re sticking through even though some things don’t go our way during the game," says FAMU junior guard MJ Randolph. "We still keep fighting and you can’t ask for more than that. We just have to get over the hump and win these games during conference.”

Sunday's’s contest will tip-off at 2 p.m. from the Al Lawson Center.
