TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - There is nothing like Homecoming Week on the Hill. For Florida A&M, the football team is looking for a happy homecoming, but it's not going to be an easy game.
North Carolina Central is the Rattler's homecoming foe, and they're a team that's on a two game win streak. Just like the Rattlers, they kicked off MEAC play with a win over the weekend. Florida A&M head coach Willie Simmons notes they've kept things as normal as possible, and because this is a conference game that means something, he isn't worried about his teams focus.
"I think this team is dialed in. We had a two minute conversation about it on Sunday," said Simmons. "We understand what's at stake. I'd be more worried if had a Division II team, a lower level team coming into town, but the fact we have a conference team coming to town, we know how big this game is. I think that gives our guys the focus they need to get it done."
Saturday's game is set for a 2:00 kickoff.
