Appalachee Regional Park was home to the 2017 FHSAA State Cross-Country Championships this morning.
Multiple teams from the big bend took part but the Chiles Timberwolves took over.
Within 3A competition, Ana Wallace took home individual honors with a time of 17.42.42. You add in a second place finish from Emily Culley and a total of four Timberwolves in the top ten, and Chiles takes home the ladies team title as well.
For the boys, all eyes were on Chiles senior Michael Phillips who once again stole the show. Phillips won his second straight individual title in a time of 15.14.69.
Matthew Newland finished fourth and the boys took home second place overall.
Wallace, Phillips in their senior seasons led the T-Wolves to three state titles on the afternoon.
