TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Maclay has long dominated the high school lacrosse scene in Tallahassee. They had a 51 game District win streak going until Chiles ended it earlier this season. The Marauders have also won the last six District Championships, but on Thursday Chiles looked to change that.

The Timberwolves led at the half, and always stayed one step ahead in the second half, winning 11-7 to snap another Marauder streak.

"We were the number one seed coming in here. All we had to do was prove to everyone, prove to Maclay, prove to our fans that we are the number one team in the city right now," said head coach Chris Anders. "In 2009, I was playing ehr when we won our first one, and now luckily I'm the coach to coach our team to the second. Getting my hands back on that trophy felt insane. The kids earned it, more than anything, the kids earned it right now."

Maclay returns to action Friday, April 27th for their first game of the playoffs.
