TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Chiles Timberwolves picked up a big win on the baseball diamond over Suwannee on Saturday. On Tuesday, they were back in Leon County and on the road at Godby.

Chiles jumped out to an early lead, scoring seven runs in the first two innings, to seal up the 11-2 win over the Cougars.

At Maclay, the boys lacrosse team was in action, hosting Oak Hall and hosting them for a good cause. John Michael Night was a lacrosse standout at Trinity Prep in Orlando. In the fall, he suffered a stroke, which has left him paralyzed but mentally intact.

Several of the Marauders played club lacrosse with Night in the past, and raised over $5000 for him, and said helping out a fellow athlete is a no brainer.

"What happened is devastating, but the least we can do is support him raising money," said senior Lewis Langford. "Tonight we raised over $5000 in his name so we are just glad we can help him because he was a dear friend of ours."

"He was such a great guy and he brought light to every team he played on," agreed Chad Minter. "Everyone around him loved him so as long as we can help him when he needs our help that makes everyone feel good."

Maclay beat Oak Hall 9-7.
