TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Florida State football team wrapped up their 2018 campaign Thanksgiving weekend with a loss against Florida.
The team will miss out on a bowl game, and now the first Seminole has declared for the NFL Draft.
Defensive end Brian Burns made the announcement Monday, saying in part "I believe I made the right decision for me. I will forever love my team and my school."
After the loss to Florida, head coach Willie Taggart said there would be changes to the coaching staff. On Monday night, the first one came.
Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Walt Bell was named the new head coach at UMass.
The University expects to officially introduce Bell on Wednesday, and there is no word on when a replacement will be hired at Florida State.
