ORLANDO, Fl. (WTXL) - The Madison County football team last won a State Championship in 2007. They've been a game away from playing for another one the past two seasons.
Thursday in Orlando, the Cowboys finally got the chance to play for another State title, as they took their undefeated record against Blountstown in the Class 1A State Championship game.
Blountstown led 17-14 at the half, but Madison County outscored the Tigers 21-3 in the second half to win 35-20 to claim the 1A State crown.
