VALDOSTA, Ga. - (WTXL) Coach David Dean mentioned this week that the offense was still sorting out its identity. The Blazers found one on Saturday crushing Cumberland 56-22 in the Blazers home opener.
Less than 5 minutes into the game, E.J. Hilliard found Greg Dent for an 18 yard touchdown. The Blazers continued to pour it on. The biggest highlight
Hilliard connecting with D'Amonte Ridley for a 92 yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to give VSU a 30-7 lead. That was the longest pass completion in Blazer history surpassing Chris Hatcher's 90 yard completion to Calvin Hatcher in 1993.
The Blazers are now (3-0). VSU takes on North Alabama next Saturday at 2pm.
