VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta State's "Black Swarm" defense forced Albany State into three first-half turnovers, and the Blazers went on to beat the Golden Rams 38-10, Saturday evening at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium.

VSU quarterback Jake Medlock accounted for three touchdowns in the game. Two of those scores came through the air on passes to Roshmel Young and Shane Henderson. His third TD came on the ground by way of a bootleg keeper.

The Blazers offensive attack was centered on the ground game, as the team rushed for 188 yards. Cedric O'Neal led the way with 64 yards on 14 carries.

Valdosta State will begin Gulf South Conference play next Saturday on the road at Winston-Salem State.
