VALDOSTA, Ga. – The 2018 NCAA Division II Football National Champion Valdosta State Blazers will announce its 2019 signing class Wednesday.

Last month, VSU announced the hiring of its tenth football coach as former Blazer Gary Goff returned to Titletown to headline the Blazers. Goff spent the last eight seasons as head coach of Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio.
The Blazers are coming off their fourth national championship in program history and fourth since 2004, after going a school-best 14-0 en route to the championship. VSU defeated Ferris State in a thrilling 49-47 championship game in McKinney, Texas, in December. The Blazers set numerous school and conference records this past season as they led the nation in scoring offense at over 52 points per game.
VSU set the school and conference record for points scored in a season with 728 and the Blazers also led the nation in defensive touchdowns with seven. Sophomore quarterback Rogan Wells finished as Harlon Hill Trophy runner-up and he led the nation in points responsible for (300).
The Blazers became the only school in NCAA Division II to have three different coaches win national championships as former Blazer head coach Kerwin Bell won the title in 2018, Chris Hatcher (2004) and David Dean won in 2007 and 2012.
