Over the course of the week, many of the best wrestlers in the big bend converged upon Lincoln High School to continue the grind that is summer workouts.
The winter season will be here before we know it and many of our local teams have dreams of a state championship.
Summer though, also brings some of the best AAU tournaments in the nation. One of which will be taking place down in Disney next week.
Representatives from Lincoln, Florida High, Leon and Wakulla are busy preparing for the Disney dual meet with the hopes of walking away with some gold. Years ago, Clay Allen and Mike Crowder brought their teams together to train and the two sides have done so ever since.
A few of the wrestlers will arrive to weigh-in on Saturday while the rest will take over Orlando on Sunday.
The meet will run through next Thursday.
