TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Five Big Bend area girls soccer teams remained in the hunt Thursday night for a State Championship. At Leon High, the Lions hosted Navarre for the second straight year in Class 4A Quarterfinal play.
The two were tied at one apiece after regulation and two overtimes, and were forced into penalty kicks. Navarre won 4-3 to advance to the Semifinals. Lincoln also fell in 4A, losing to Niceville 4-0.
In Class 2A, the Florida High Seminoles lost to Pensacola Catholic 3-0, while Taylor County fell to North Bay Haven 8-0 on the road.
In Class 1A, St. Joseph Academy handed Maclay the 2-1 loss to round out the night for Big Bend teams.
