TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State baseball head coach Mike Martin announced the 2019 schedule Wednesday, a 56-game slate that features 36 home games and 19 games against NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago. The Seminoles and Martin, entering his 40thand final season as head coach, will open the year against Maine on February 15, 2019.

In Atlantic Coast Conference play, the Seminoles will host Virginia Tech, Boston College, Clemson, Wake Forest and Pittsburgh (under first year head coach Mike Bell, FSU’s pitching coach from 2012-18). FSU will hit the road to face NC State, Notre Dame, Miami and Virginia before ending the season in an ACC Championship rematch at Louisville.

FSU enters the season having won at least 40 games and reaching the NCAA Tournament in 41 consecutive seasons. The Noles have won back-to-back ACC Tournament titles, including an 11-8, 10-inning win over Louisville in Durham last season. The 2019 ACC Tournament will again be held at Durham Bulls Athletic Park May 21-26, 2019.

Out of conference, the Seminoles will play its annual three-game series against Florida on March 12 (in Gainesville), March 26 (in Jacksonville) and April 9 (in Tallahassee). FSU also plays three games against Jacksonville and Stetson, two Atlantic Sun teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season.

Opening weekend will consist of a four-game series against the Black Bears of Maine, with a doubleheader set for Saturday. Youngstown State and Mercer fill out the early season schedule, while Richmond visits in mid-May.

The Noles host mid-week games against North Florida, UCF and Florida International.

The NCAA Regionals begin May 31, 2019 and the College World Series in Omaha starts June 15.

Season tickets go on sale at the end of November.
