VERO BEACH, Fl. (WTXL) - The Aucilla Christian softball team inched closer to their goal for a three-peat Wednesday with their 5-0 win over Glades Day.
Ashlyn Rogers got the scoring started for the Lady Warriors, driving in Ramsey Sullivan in the top of the first inning. A Natalie Sorensen RBI made it 2-0 after one, and thanks to Elizabeth Hightower's eleven strikeout performance in just five innings of work, Aucilla won 5-0.
The Lady Warriors will face Canterbury Thursday for the Class 2A State Championship. First pitch is slated for 11:05 am.
