VERO BEACH, Fl. (WTXL) - For the fifth straight year, the Aucilla Christian softball team made it to the State Final Four. Twice in that time frame, they've won State titles.
On Tuesday the Warriors, went eleven innings in pursuit of their third State Championship, but fell short of the 2A crown, losing to Academy at the Lakes 1-0.
Florida signee Elizabeth Hightower went all eleven innings, recording 15 strikeouts and giving up just four hits in the loss.
