GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Arizona Cardinals announced today that they have released former Florida State Seminole Ernie Sims.
Sims started his NFL career with the Detroit Lions where he played the first four seasons. He has since bounced around the league with stops in Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Dallas and most recently Arizona.
Coach Bruce Arians says Sims didn't fit into the Cardinals' defense and that the team owed him the respect as a veteran to give him a chance to catch on with another team.
