TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It's no secret the popularity of soccer has gone through the rook over the past few months. The women winning the World Cup made even the non fan excited about the game.

For those that love the game, they're just basking in the glory of it all. Warner Soccer in Tallahassee was back at it this week hosting another camp for area youth.

This week, the ladies were on the pitch, and received top notch coaching as Nichols State head coach Dylan Harrison headed the camp.

Harrison said he's familiar with the Big Bend, as he's recruited heavily in the area, and said the quality of soccer here is apparent in the success of area programs.

"Obviously having a top college program in your city is a huge plus," he said. "Hopefully they're taking advantage and going and watching some of those games and seeing the high level of play and hoping to emulate some of those players."

"He's definitely made me work harder and inspire me to work harder," said Abbie Davis, a rising freshman at Chiles High School. "He's kind of a big deal. It's really cool to see everyone start playing because people used to think, oh soccer. not a cool sport. Now it's definitely popular and a cool sport."
