TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - For the past 25 years, the Capital City Class has raised nearly $250,000 for college scholarships and local athletes in Leon County. On Monday, the 2015 holiday hoops tournament tipped off, with Chiles and Marianna getting the day started.
The Timberwolves led Marianna at the half, but Marianna came back to win 51-48. West Florida took the second match-up of the day 51-48 over FAMU DRS.
The Lincoln Trojans faced off with Orange Park, winning by 20 points 65-45. Leon High School also picked up a win, 61-49 over Osbourne out of Georgia.
The Rickards Raiders took the court in the second to last game of the day, beating Plant City 65 to 40, while East Gadsden closed out the match-up against Norcross, falling 82-42.
Day two tips off at 12 on Tuesday, with Leon facing Plant City. All games are at Tallahassee Community College.
